UI/UX Designer

We are looking for a UI/UX Designer to turn our software into easy-to-use products for our clients.

You will be working closely with the managing director, product manager, the development team and our clients. Besides the usual UI/UX Designer responsibilities such as gathering user requirements, designing graphic elements and building product components, we are looking for an individual who enjoys getting to grips with technical information as well as complex data structures and can translate them into user friendly designs.

User journeys should always be your main concern. At the same time, we need you to be able to focus on specific tasks tied to tight deadlines even when you feel an urge to improve things elsewhere.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement new designs
  • Optimise existing user interface designs
  • Test for intuitiveness and experience
  • Communicate with clients to understand their business goals and objectives
  • Develop technical and business requirements and always strive to deliver intuitive and user-centric solutions
  • Combine creativity with an awareness of the design elements
  • Create prototypes for new product ideas
  • Test new ideas before implementing
  • Define information architecture
  • Conduct an ongoing user research

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as an UI-UX Designer or similar role
  • UI design portfolio
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to discuss and explain design options
  • Detail oriented
  • Critical thinker
  • Problem solver and customer-centric
  • Knowledge of Adobe range of products including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Dreamweaver
  • Some knowledge of Usability Factors in Human Computer Interaction
